Vol.60 Photographic issue
We have gathered creators whom incorporate design elements on photography, and magazines that are well known for their striking visual standard, defining the depth of photographic expression. The end of the magazine features the next prospective photographers in Asia.
Focusing not because the mass of people recognize, but because of their distinct and unique approach towards photographic works. Sectioned into three different parts, this issue will first present photographers and art directors that specialize their works in constructing set design, or special effect onto photography; graphical photography in analogue or digital. Secondly, dissecting magazines known for their visually striking cover photos. We interviewed both chief of editor and photographers, pointing out the reason behind their cover selection. Last but not the least, we will feature promising photographers from Japan, China, Korea and Hong Kong. With major works to be seen, we asked them what photography means to them. An issue that defines what photographic expression means.

デザイン要素を組み合わせた写真作品を創作するクリエイター、誌面ヴィジュアルに定評がある雑誌に焦点を当て、写真表現の深遠さを探求する。巻末ではアジアの若手フォトグラファーを紹介。
今回は誰もが知るフォトグラファーをフォーカスするのではなく、個性的で、特徴ある「写真作品」をテーマに、取材者の選択を行なった。切り口を３部構成に分け、まず巻頭では、セット・デザイン、エフェクト処理、アナログからデジタルまで、グラフィカルな写真作品を手がけるアート・ディレクター、フォトグラファーを紹介。続いては、世界的にヴィジュアルに定評がある雑誌の独創的な表紙と共に、編集長と表紙を飾るフォトグラファーにインタビューを敢行し、各誌の表紙を飾るフォトグラファー／写真の選定理由と経緯を探った。そして巻末では、日本、中国、韓国、香港といった東アジア地域の注目若手フォトグラファーをピックアップしている。作品を眺めるだけではなく、フォトグラファーが、どのような存在理由で、写真と携わっているかを探索した一冊となっている。
表紙には、ライト・アーティストRica Ramosとコラボレーションして制作されたPedro Diasの「The LIGHTTAG Project」を採用。
