Vol.87 Sustainable Design Tour issue
今注目されるサスティナビリティをコンセプトに制作・活動する世界各国のデザイナー、建築家、プロダクト・エンジニア、また後半では日本の地域再生に焦点をあてる。
巻頭は、国連のSDGsロゴ・アイコンをデザインしたJakob Trollbäckを始め、再生可能エネルギーを自ら育成する建築を手がけるSnøhetta、環境理論家兼デザイナーであるBruce Mau、環境配慮型建築家のOvertreders W、彼ら4組の作品と理論・思想を交えて紹介する。
第2企画では、サステナブルな社会を目指し再生エネルギー・プロジェクトに挑み続ける7組のエンジニア、デザイナーを特集。 TOYOTA Woven City、太陽光発電機や風力発電機、サハラ砂漠の緑化プロジェクトなど、その開発と未来像に迫る。あわせてリユース容器プロジェクトLOOPで世界的に知られるTom Szackyに、ゴミを出さない社会を目指すためのアイデアをインタビューする。
第3企画は地域再生をテーマに、JINs田中仁が取組むクリエイティヴで地域の活性化を目指す群馬県前橋市、隈研吾建築が点在する高知県梼原町、ごみ自体を出さない社会を目指す「ゼロ・ウ ェイスト」宣言を掲げる徳島県上勝町のそれぞれのまちおこし活動を紹介する。
This issue focus designers, architects, and project engineers from around the world who are creating and working with the concept of sustainability, and the second half of the issue focuses on local revitalization in Japan.
The first part of the book features Jakob Trollbäck, who designed the UN's SDGs logo and icon, Snøhetta, whose architecture fosters renewable energy, Bruce Mau, an environmental theorist and designer, and Overtreders W, an environmentally conscious builder. The works and theoretical ideas of these four groups will be introduced.
The second part features seven engineers and designers who have been working on renewable energy projects for a sustainable society, including TOYOTA Woven City, solar and wind power generators, and the Sahara Forest Project. In addition, we interview Tom Szacky, known worldwide for his reuse project "LOOP," about his ideas for a waste-free society.
The third part focuses on community revitalization and introduces the activities of Maebashi City in Gunma Prefecture, where Jin Tanaka is working to revitalize the community through creativity, Yusuhara Town in Kochi Prefecture, where Kengo Kuma's architecture is located, and Kamikatsu Town in Tokushima Prefecture, which has declared itself a "zero-waste" town.
