Vol.44 Creativity of Garments issue
We view fashion not as ornamentation or trends but as a tool of expression for designers, and so in this issue we explore their creative process and background as well as their ideas, concept, and content.
The volume starts off with interviews with Maison Martin Margiela and their one-of-a-kind vision, multitalented Henrik Vibskov, who is active in many different fields, and COSMIC WONDER LIGHT SOURCE, which presents well-defined concepts through its work. This is followed by a special feature in which we take a look at some of the set designers who craft the vision of fashion photos and shows. While this is a field that still hasn't established itself in Japan yet, we take this opportunity to introduce their richly imaginative creations that further enhance the world of fashion. Finally in the last half of the issue we present some designers who continue to show vivid creations every season as well as some new up-and-comers.
